Core Studios was started by Sue Seddon as a physiotherapy and Pilates studio in 2017. Originally named Physiotherapy and Pilates on Marlborough, the practice was re-named following the addition of a second Pilates studio and a yoga space in 2021.

The team at Core Studios is professional, dynamic and innovative. Apart from Physiotherapy and Pilates, our services also include Biokinetics, Yoga, Sports massage, Modern dance and Hip-hop.

The practice is located on the REEA Foundation Urban Farm, across the Braamfontein Spruit from Delta Park, in Craighall Park, Johannesburg. Access is off Marlborough Avenue, behind the REAA nursery. The REEA Foundation is a non-profit organisation for adults with epilepsy. Core Studios (and the other businesses on the property) support the Foundation by leasing land from it.

We are housed in modern, purpose-built light-filled wood and glass studios. Our neighbours in this exciting new precinct include a coffee shop, wine-tasting, the well-known REAA bookshop, a veterinary depot, a nursery and riding stables. It is an unusually ‘rural’ piece of land in Johannesburg’s northern suburbs, a quiet and calming environment for all who work there or wander through it.
