Sport has been a massive influence in my life for as long as I can remember, from swimming in the South African and Gauteng squad to doing cross country, hockey, dancing and triathlon, sport injuries and movement patterns within the disciplines have given me an edge to my career. I qualified with a Biokinetics Honours degree and an undergrad in Sports Psychology from the University of Johannesburg. After which I completed my internship and caried on as a qualified Biokineticist at Dr Jon Patricios’s Morningside Mediclinic Sports Centre. Treating patients that varied from the Kaizer Chiefs Functional Movement testing, Qhubeka cyclist strength testing, Lions and St John’s school rugby concussion/MCU testing, U-Turn chronic disease management program to your everyday post-operative rehabilitation. I then moved on to work in the corporate aspect of Biokinetics at FNB and Nedbank doing Wellness programs and everyday lower back pain and headaches. I then moved on to a Wellness centre in Bryanston, working with a multidisciplinary team and doing presentations alongside. I am the resident Bio for the Catch me if you can running group and do Wellness days for brokers and companies. Last year I opened up my own practice at Core Studios and work part time at Exec Care doing Executive medicals.

**Biokinetics can also be covered by medical aid depending on which scheme you are on.
