Pilates

Pilates is a low-impact way of building core strength, developing proper postural alignment, and encouraging muscle balance.

Developed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920’s, it is a full body/mind exercise method with an emphasis on strength, muscle control and stability. The exercises can be done on the mat or on the specially developed equipment which includes the Reformer, Cadillac and Wunda Chair.

Pilates will help you to strengthen your core, build muscle tone, increase your flexibility & coordination, improve balance & postural awareness, and even increase respiratory function and improve sleep quality and digestion.

At Core Studios we offer sessions for all ages and levels – from Kids classes focusing on developing healthy movement patterns, posture and muscle tone, to group mat classes for athletes looking to enhance their performance, and individual sessions tailored to the individual needs of the client.
