Yin Yoga
A very gentle and meditative practice. We use traditional yoga poses and modify them in a way that lets us hold each pose for longer, to allow us to stretch our muscle’s deep connective tissue. We use props like pillows, blocks, blankets and straps to make sure that each pose is as accessible as possible.
Regularly practicing yin yoga is ideal for improving flexibility, both physically and mentally.
This is the class for you if you:
- are new to yoga
- have done yoga before
- would like to calm a busy mind
- have tight muscles from running, cycling, riding, sedentary work, etc.
Hatha Yoga
This is the most traditional yoga, in which we use pranayama (breathing techniques) asanas (postures) and meditation, to re-create a connection and balance between your physical body, your breath and energy, and your mind.
In the physical part of the practice we move sequentially through stretching, strengthening and balancing postures.
This is the class for you if you:
- are new to yoga
- have done yoga before
- enjoy a methodical approach to advancing your practice of yoga
- want to calm a busy mind
- would like to go a little deeper and explore the limits of your mind and body
Vinyasa Yoga
A playful, yet gentle practice in which we use a variety of asanas (postures) that are combined to create sequence and flow. We move with the rhythm of our breath.
It is a more active practice than yin or hatha. But, as in all my classes, I encourage everyone to listen to their bodies, to discover how much effort they want to put into yoga. Sometimes you might want to challenge yourself, at other times you might just feel like taking it easy. Your body will communicate what it needs.
By connecting to your Self, you will learn to listen and better understand your body and mind.
This is the class for you if you:
- are new to yoga
- have done yoga before
- enjoy a varied and playful sequence
- like to move your body!
If you’re unsure of which class to pick, contact one of our instructors and they be happy to discuss and explore what might work best for you.

Avril Chambers
Yoga Instructor
My journey with yoga began at an early age; I was blessed to be allowed to practise yoga with my mom at the age of three. I rediscovered the healing practise of yoga out of a need for stress relief during my stint in the corporate World as a fashion buyer, realising that I found sanity and serenity on my mat.
