Welcome to Core Studios
We are a health and fitness studio based in Craighall Park.
About Us
Core Studios was started by Sue Wadley as a physiotherapy and Pilates studio in 2017. Originally named Physiotherapy and Pilates on Marlborough, the practice was re-named following the addition of a second Pilates studio and a yoga space in 2021.
The team at Core Studios is professional, dynamic and innovative. Apart from physiotherapy and Pilates, our services also include occupational therapy, biokinetics, yoga, sports massage, modern dance and hip-hop.
Our Services
We are a health and fitness centre in Craighall Park.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy helps to restore movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness or disability. It can also help to reduce your risk of injury or illness in the future.
Pilates
Pilates is a method of exercise that consists of low-impact exercises using specialised equipment. It was developed in the early twentieth century by Joseph Pilates. Â Pilates emphasises proper postural alignment, core strength and muscle balance.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapists treat injured, ill, or disabled patients through the therapeutic use of everyday activities. They help these patients develop, recover, improve, as well as maintain the skills needed for daily living and working.
Biokinetics
Biokinetics is an exercise therapy profession that exclusively prescribes individulaised exercise and physical activity for rehabilitation and promotion of health and quality of life.
Yoga
Yoga is an ancient practice that may have originated in India. It involves movement, meditation, and breathing techniques to promote mental and physical well-being.
Sports Massage
Sports massage is a targeted massage approach that focuses on specific areas of the body that are in need of healing or relief. Massage promotes healing and reduces recovery time between performances.

My love for dance and movement led me to obtain a Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training certificate through Body Arts and Science International in 2009; I had found that Pilates strengthened me as a dancer and is an amazing form of cross training. I also qualified in therapeutic and sports massage.
Liz Nienaber

My movement journey began at a very young age with my first ballet class. My passion was ignited, and it led me to a career as a professional ballerina that lasted over a decade. During my dancing years, I was introduced to Pilates and all of it’s benefits.

I am an advocate, yoga teacher, restorative justice facilitator and co-owner of The Toolbox, a wellness centre I founded with my sister in 2016. I have been teaching Kundalini yoga passionately since 2019.
